Ingredients
1 loaf bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
8 eggs
3 cups milk
4 t sugar
1 t vanilla extract
3/4 t salt, optional
Topping:
2 T butter or margarine, cubed
3 T sugar
2 t ground cinnamon
Place bread cubes in a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt if desired. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Dot with butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with syrup if desired. Yield: 12 servings

Mary, yes I would love to be a contributor! I was actually thinking today "I wish I had a recipe blog to post this on instead of a weight loss blog". You read my mind!
Although, just as a disclaimer, I'm not that inventive when it comes to cooking :o) But maybe this blog will inspire me to try more things! As I was organizing today I found lots of cookbooks with lots of recipes I didn't know I had!
And when people post recipes on here that are tried and true, you know that you can do them to! :)
I love it, because it is such an easy way to share favorite recipes!
And who doesn't need more yummy recipes?
